Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has delivered more than $ 500 million worldwide in the first three days of release.
In the opening weekend, the game raised more than half a billion dollars. In addition, Activision Blizzard reveals that there are more players than in the same Call of Duty: WWII and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 lifecycle.
“Black Ops 4 started out as a blockbuster”, says Rob Kostich of Activision. “We have more players and playing hours than in previous years and the amount of viewers on Twitch sets a new standard and shows how fun Blackout is to play and watch.”
Developer Treyarch says that a big update for the game will be released later today. Not only does this update have to change various gameplay elements – although it is not yet known exactly – the update also marks the first Double XP weekend of the game. During this weekend, players can earn twice as much XP in the multiplayer mode. It is not known whether this also applies to Blackout. In Zombies mode, players can earn twice as much Nebulium Plasma.
